Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a saucepan, warm the milk and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Whisk eggs and vanilla in a bowl. Gradually add the warm milk mixture while whisking to avoid scrambling the eggs.
- Pour the custard into ramekins placed in a baking dish filled with hot water. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
- For ganache, chop dark chocolate and place in a bowl. Heat heavy cream to simmering and pour over chocolate; let sit before stirring smooth.
- Stir in butter until melted. Cool slightly and pour over cooled custards.
