- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds. Set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and Italian seasoning; cook until browned, draining excess fat if needed.
- Mix in cooked rice and tomato sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Generously stuff each pepper with the beef mixture, placing them upright in a baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheese and cover with foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
