- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves

- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add canned diced tomatoes (with juice) to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, and warm gently while stirring occasionally.
- Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce along with torn basil leaves, ensuring every piece is coated.
- Finish by stirring in grated parmesan cheese. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
