Instructions
- Soak the dried chickpeas in water overnight; then drain.
- In a food processor, blend the soaked chickpeas, garlic, onion, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, baking powder, and pepper until coarse.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Form the mixture into balls or patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat (350°F). Fry falafel until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Alternatively, bake at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes.
