Ingredients

  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Granulated sugar
  • Unsalted butter
  • Large eggs
  • All-purpose flour
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and granulated sugar.
  3. Melt unsalted butter over low heat and combine with the dry mixture until blended.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then fold in flour until just combined.

  6. For the cookie dough buttercream, beat softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
