  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick. Cut out heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold chopped strawberries into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Place a dollop of filling on half of each heart cutout. Fold over and pinch edges to seal.
  6. Whisk the egg with a tablespoon of water; brush over each danish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
