  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)
  • 1/2 cup pasta sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned. Add the diced bell peppers and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 12×15 inches thick.
  4. Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the dough, leaving an inch around the edges free from filling. Drizzle with pasta sauce if desired.
  5. Carefully roll up the dough tightly from one long edge and pinch seams to seal.
  6. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
